i accept. When my previous offer with philly went haywire, i knew for sure i had to get Love. Trading Rubio would mean my starting lineup would be complete with Love on board.

Detroit you made a huge deal out of getting Rubio and you trade him (AND a valuable expiring) for Love and two low valued picks? I'm confused...do you know what you're aiming for because you just seem to trade for the fact that its fun?

I honestly like this for Detroit, he has Ellis (well pending trade) to play PG and Ben Gordon to play SG so Rubio is expendable. I also think Kevin Love is pretty good player, he led all rookies in rebounding (8.9 per game) and double-doubles (25)

DAL do check your PM for my explanation. you'll most probably be convinced then.
Well i was planning to keep rubio initially. However due to the fact that Boozer ( a PF i was trying to sign) was signed to another team instead and Milsap (whom ive been making tons of offers to the NWagent) who turned out to not be a FA after all, i knew i had to go for a PF and Love was one who satisfied my palete.
I had a discussion with Charlotte and he was telling me how fiercely the Committee was debating on what to do with milsap. Since the regrettable decision (IMO) was made, i had to look for alternatives and i knew rubio had to go. U can double check with the NW agent if u're doubting me still. (i still have about 11mil in salary space reserved for Milsap's 6 year contract worth $80mil that didnt happen)

I think because Rubio is not coming to the NBA this season it somewhats diminishes his value. Still I'd probably keep Stuckey than Love. And it means having two undersized guards running my backcourt! But that's me, it's Piston's call. The first rounder might come in handy... in two years!
Still I think it's not too much to decline

Yes, unfortunately Rubio won't be over to the NBA for at least 2 more years, so his value in any league takes a big hit, especially a sim league where, even a great one...2 years is a long time.
Not only that, but I am a Kevin Love fan and think he's going to be legit, and a 1st round pick too.
Solid trade.
Accept.

Just so we are all on the same page here, you guys know that he is still going to be in our sim league next year right? Just because hes not in the NBA in real life does NOT mean that he won't play this season here.

I did know that, but him not coming to the NBA means he probably has zero chance at getting any increases...whereas if he was in the NBA, he'd have legit chances at getting increased...like Love will.
