Well when Al Jefferson was picked 7 spots after Rafael Araujo and Rudy Gay was chosen 7 spots after Andrea Bargnani, it tells me that how you draft is just as important as where. I know those are specific cases, but it happens more often than you think.
As for your job thinking about trades, I mean no disrespect. I'll keep my opinion to myself from now on. If Gs can give you an explanation that you'll take then sure I'll take the picks out.

If that Pau Gasol for Kwame Brown trade was posted in a sim league it probably wouldn't get passed.
We don't aim for realism. We aim for being fair and making sure teams don't end up in states that ruin their franchise for good. I'm not saying this would make Golden State the worst team ever for years to come, but I feel it hurts enough to warrant a decline.
McGrady is overrated by fans and he will continue to decline in ratings.
Oh, and Houston, the game does know about McGrady's health issues. There's a rating factor for health and injury proneness (try playing with Greg Oden for a season in 2k9). Also, the more he doesn't play the lesser his overall rating will get (see Elton Brand).

All I'm saying is Houston is we have expressed concern and if there really is "no difference" between 7 and 14 why don't you just take it out? I think you more than win the trade without those picks.

I agreed to take them out, but if y'all still believe it's not fair, then I say decline it. I apologize, I realize I was being biased, hard-headed and otherwise closed-minded.

I really want to hear from GS, but the picks have to come out...I can't speak for anyone else.

Yea don't mean to beat this to death but..
Jackson vs. TMac - Same rating, Jackson is signed VERY reasonably for long-term. He's a steal there. I'd take him IRL over TMac PROBABLY, it's probably equal at this point. Jackson's cheap, long contract makes him win this part.
Maggette vs. Scola - I'm just going to call that equal. Scola a big man, and a talented one, but Maggette is very good too. Probably a bit more talented, but it's close and the "big man factor" evens it out. Maybe scola wins slightly b/c he's signed cheaper, but if we combine this and the jackson/tmac, we come out dead even so far, IMO.
NOW is where it goes bad. Randolph, Watson, Law, #7 for, umm...Von Wafer and #14? Wafer for Law OR Watson is fair I guess...# 7 is a downgrade to 14, then we have Watson OR Law, PLUS Randolph, just in there for free.
If you guys want this to be fair, either go with Maggette/Jackson/any salary needed for TMac/Scola.
OR
Maggette/Jackson/Randolph (or #7) +(salary things?) for TMac/Scola/14/Wafer
Basically, if you want Randolph or #7, I could let you guys get away with paying 14+Wafer for Randolph or #7, though I personally would still choose Randolph/7.
This is just my opinion, but I would likely accept one of those deals.
P.S. forgot to mention Deke in either deal but he really doesn't do too much for me in this deal either way. He is probably retiring so his value is extremely limited IMO.

And the last thing, even if the game wouldn't know TMac is a walking injury, there are such things are roster patches/updates done by PEOPLE who watch and know about basketball. They will drop his ratings, possibly severely, if he continues to be injured all the time. And/or his endurance/stamina/fatigue things will be very low and he may end up being injured in the game more often as well.

Have you tried playing a season with him? It's incredibly annoying. He gets hurt all the time. I ended up trading him for Brook Lopez.

Not only is Jackson better than tmac at this point, his value as a player and as a trade chip is exponentially greater because of his small contract in relation to his rating. Finding a near 90 player with a salary less than $10 mil is rare. Not to mention t-mac's exhorbitant salary that won't even come off the books for two years. And seven draft spots is plenty...you're telling me there isn't that much difference between Ricky Rubio and Gerald Henderson? Cuz they were drafted seven spots apart IRL

haha alright guys its cool. i guess im still living in the past and think tmac is still a top 10 player of the league (in my opinion). like ive said, i took some time off from basketball and everything to focus on my school work so my basketball knowledge is a bit rusty right now. i just started heavily getting into basketball again when the playoffs came on. its funny though because after this trade i get a bunch of pms for lowball offers for my guys...i guess everyone thinks im retarded or something lmao

I don't get the picks at all, and the love affair with Anthony Randolph is crazy (I guess we'll see on him) but other than that I thought it was decent play for you. Keep your head up man, there is no shame in making a mistake.

I ended up trading him for Brook Lopez. I agree with OKC. Oden gets injured way too often. And I can't play him for more then 20min a game in a 36 min game without him getting exhausted...
