I accept.
I get a great young player in Outlaw (who will be my starter probably) and a couple draft picks for basically only barea. I take on a lot of salary, but after I decline all the team options i'm gettiting it will only be $13 million. There arent that many good FA's and i will still have enough money to get one, but i shore up my whole at SF

I' confused on something here. How can you trade Jason Kidd? Is he not a Free Agent now since we completed the "warmup season?" I'm not trying to cause problems but I have a few guys in similar situations and I'd like to know what I can or cannot do exactly in regards to trading them

We haven't transferred contracts into the 2009/10 season cuz we are waiting to decide player options and ETO's (THATS MEANS YOU CM'S) so you can trade players who are still under contract, such as Kidd and Price

OK for the moment I'm going to say NO as Utah will not have enough players (11) to fill his team and Dallas will have too many players (20)
"Teams must have at least 12 players on their roster, but no more than 15."

I accept. Not trying to be rude to New Orleans, but since it's the offseason, should it matter and should only have the 12 players come the next season.

Yea I agree with NOH here. Either it is the offseason and you can't trade Kidd, or it isn't the offseason and you can't have 11 or 20 players on your roster.
Reject for now.

Technically the season is over but we can't start off season activities until all teams are filled so having more or less players then what is required on your roster doesn't matter and FA hasn't started yet so Kidd can be traded.

If the season is 'technically' over, then kidd can't be traded. It has to be one way or the other either it's over and all players with expiring contracts in 08/09 season go to free agency and wait until it starts or they don't and the roster limits apply.

No it can be, players with expirings can be traded in the off season until FA starts, which clearly isn't now since all teams aren't filled.

Actually there is a point in time IRL where contracts haven't been progressed and team limits don't apply. However, I understand your arguments and Utah and I have agreed to take out Price and Fesenko. This would leave me with 17 players. As soon as this trade is completed, I will immediately decline the team options on Shelden Williams and Rodney Carney. That would bring me down to 15.
Sorry i didn't address this over the weekend, I have not been feeling well. But now i'm back and ready to get this off-season going!

Actually leave the trade as is. I just released James Singleton, giving me ten players after you subtract Kidd and Barea. I'll immediately be declining Williams and Carney's contracts and probably be releasing Fesenko. If i do that, I will have 14 players (15 if i don't release Fesenko). Either way, the trade will be legal.

I'm ok with that solution. It bends the rules slightly (technically you will have 17 players on your team at one point), but I've seen it done this way before, where you just release guys you traded for immediately.
Fine with me.
