I didnt think that I would ever see Nowitzki moved from Dallas. Especially after the article that you wrote earlier in the season.

I accept. With all of my free agents and now that I don't have Terry, I was looking at having a real young team with my only talent being Dirk. now I get three starters (two of which are young and real promising), $2 million in cap space, and add depth. At this point my starting line-up went from: C: Mensah-Bonsu PF: Dirk SF: Marion (if i re-signed) SG: PG: Telfair/Barea to C: Okafor (84) PF: Mensah-Bonsu (76) SF: Marion (84) SG: Bell (79) PG: Felton (84) I'm not even going to attempt to re-sign Kidd so I'll go after a forward with all my cap space and I'll also have the 6th overall pick.

I had a good run to the finals, so I hate to break up what seems to be working, but as much as I love Okafor, I do not think as highly of Raymond Felton as MJ does, plus I'm not sure I will be able to resign him after this coming season.
Trading for Dirk gives my Bobcats an identity, and another star to play along Gerald Wallace. In addition to that, Dirk gives my team a much needed scoring boost, although with Okafor gone the paint is going to be less protected, as defense wins championships. But I am counting on the two 7-foot frames of Marc Gasol and Dirk Nowitzki to provide certain amount of inside presence so fingers crossed, I'll be safe;)
And I really like drafting in sim leagues so getting that #24th is quite fun for me personally.
My teams goes from:
Marc Gasol Emeka Okafor Gerald Wallace Raja Bell Felton
to
Marc Gasol Dirk Nowitzki Gerald Wallace ?? DJ Augustin
I like the new look team more although I'd have to search for a SG, in the FA or perhaps trading up the draft (hint, hint!)

It requires three, so LAC or LAL need to vote

DAL's giving up A LOT, with arguably the best PF in the game today (with Duncan, KG, and Gasol.)
so it's a tough call from me but I'll accept this.

I do give up alot, but I get two really good young players in return. especially in okafor. plus, theres no guarantee Dirk wouldn't opt out after 09/10 and leave me with nothing
