Each team is allowed two trades a week maximum. A rejected trade counts as one trade for that team for the week. Trades must have the following format or they will be immediately rejected without consideration.
TEAM 1 SENDS: PLAYER (RATING)--SALARY FOR EACH YEAR
TEAM 1 RECEIVES: PLAYER (RATING)--SALARY FOR EACH YEAR
TEAM 1 OUTGOING SALARY:
TEAM 1 INCOMING SALARY:
NEW SALARY CAP FOR TEAM 1: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SAME THING FOR TEAM 2
Ex:
Memphis Trades:
John Doe (83)--$4,866,000--$5,093,000 Joe Blow (63)--$1,000,000
Memphis Receives:
John Smith (82)--$5,768,000
Outgoing Salary: $5,866,000
Incoming Salary: $5,768,000
New Team Salary Cap: $67,094,000
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Data for the other team, exactly as posted above.
For a trade to be approved, it must be accepted by each team involved and at least three of the five CM's. If a team is over the soft cap, their incoming salary has to be within 125% of their outgoing salary. Bascially, real life NBA trading rules apply in this league.

OK now that we have had a chance to get adjusted into the league, I'm going to start strictly enforcing the maximum two trades a week (including rejected ones). Some teams just want to trade for the sake of trading and i don't have time to be updating a billion times a week. The new week starts now, so now trades submitted up until this post count towards this week. Thanks.
Also, I only update the rosters in the game right before i do the next sim session, so its not immediate.

Especially earlier in the league, people, such as myself, are trying to make moves to better their team. They have to make back to back deals to be able to set up deals.

It didn't kill D5...
Oh and its not too low. Considering teams IRL make like one trade a year, i don't think two is week is that bad. The limit will stay. From now on you also can't trade a player unless he has been on your roster at least a week. Thank Jamal Crawford for that.
Oh and its incredibly hard for me to keep up with six million trades a week so if we don't put a limit, then thats what will kill the league.

Trust me Dallas. I've run leagues in the past. To have a limit on trading is stupid.
Jamal Crawford doesn't fit this system, I dealt with him for a reason to deal him. It's stupid to cost me a week because i can't win with this lineup..
It's just stupid.

I've let the league vote on pretty much everything, but not this. NOH is in charge of salaries and he and i need the limit. This rule has been in place since the league started, i just relaxed on it so that people could put their mark on their team.
The only possible thing I would be able to do is change it to where you could only have one pending trade at a time, but i see that as being a problem too. But in some way, shape, or form there will be a limit.

But in real life teams have other things to worry about. Marketing, Sales, Stadium Maintenance, Promotional, Revenue. You have to worry about how well a player likes the city, consider his family. We worry about nothing cause their not real people. All we do is trade. So why put a limit on how many trades we can make? It will hurt the league more than help it. At least just two. That's a very low number.

I agree with NJ and WAS, at least only enforce it during the season.

We will compromise. You can only have one pending trade at a time. If your looking to double deal and can't wait, then you can try a three way trade.

I see where Dallas is coming from. It gets to you sometimes when there's too many trades. Maybe he feels slightly stressed(?) when he doesn't know where a player is. Like for example all of a sudden he can't find Wade at the Heat. I mean that's how I feel everytime I logon. There's so many trades!
However, I think enforcing the two-trade-per-week during the season should be reasonable for all of us. But like the rest said, people are still trying to tweak their teams to their liking and restricting that may not be so wise.
So now that the league has been filled, how about giving everyone one or two more weeks of 'unlimited' number of trades before enforcing the rule Admin?
