Each team has the ability to hire/fire coaches throughout the season. Coaches are rated on a system much the same way that players are (lowest rating=60, highest rating=99). The coach of a team determines how well his team plays so it is very important to have a good coach, its not just an added feature with no point. Each coach will have a specialty and the players on your team will recieve a ratings boost in the category (the better the coach, the more their attributes will be increased). At the same time, hiring bad coaches can hurt your team. Coaches who have a rating under 70 will have a negative impact on your players' attributes. A coaches rating can increase or decrease based on his team's performance from year to year. This makes the league more realistic.
Coaches will be hired using a $5 million staffing salary, but you must use this to hire a head coach AND an assistant. The CM in charge of staffing will serve as the agent for these coaches. Other factors that influence the agent/coaches' decision will be location, team's talent, organization prestige, and the coaches' personal background (grew up in that area, used to play for that team, etc.).
For now, we will be doing head coaches and one assistant coach. Later on down the road, we might add additional assistants. Former players and coaches, college coaches, NBA executives, current NBA coaches and assistants, and announcers/commentators that are still alive and within working age will be available to coach. The committee will provide a list of coaches and ratings and any that you would like us to rate and add can be PM'ed to the CM in charge of staffing.
