On the contrary I feel this is the best time to start a season. We could just do the offseason and progress from there.
You said we are using 2k but didn't you say you can only control 8 teams at a time? How is that going to work? Is 2k coming out with a computer game? I'm down for 2k if you can sim and post results normally with box scores and control every team; their sim engine is far superior.

Ya but it would be too much work to start all over and we can't fast forward to next offseason after all the trades that have been made so we are just going to do the quick sim like we discussed. I can only control 8 teams but i can change which teams they are at any time. If a team makes a trade, i can just change to them and pull off the trade.

So we are doing a quick sim through 08/09, offseason + rookie draft, then we should be starting the 09/10 season soon after offseason is finished.

so are we using nba live 07? you said we'll use nba 2k10 later (in which the stats should be similar), but i would imagine that nba live07 updated roster has much different stats.

How do you change teams? I am simming a season on 2k9 but it doesn't let you change teams.

How do you change teams? I am simming a season on 2k9 but it doesn't let you change teams. You wouldn't had to pick more than one team to control. Which I think 2k only allows up to 8.

Yes, and he said it allows you to change which teams you control. If you only control 8 teams then what happens when other computer teams make trades or you need to make a trade between those teams?

i think its only in association. go to general manager and then resign position and it lets you pick a new team.
As far as the trades, i can turn them off in assocation. when i need to pull off a trade i just make it to where im controlling the two teams and then complete the trade. as for FA signing, i can't turn those off so i added scrub players to teams to make it out to 15 on each roster. I made sure each scrub is on the IR and never plays, they just serve as a roster spot so that the teams can't sign any of the FA

You're doing association? But now that means during the season players ratings changed based off of team chemistry, how well your team is doing (if you are doing bad your players ratings go down); your coach's ratings effect your teams performance.
Furthermore players attitudes affect your team. You have to do roles (starter, 6th man, role player, etc) and provide minutes, and if they don't get the minutes you promised they get upset. If they get upset their morale goes down. If their morale goes down their rating goes down.
If you have a bench player like an 80 something who feels he should be a starter and you don't make him a starter he could get upset and demand a trade.

Association is hard to do when playing with only 1 team because you have to satisfy everyone on your team and if you don't their ratings go down, chemistry goes down and that all means more losing for your team.

Those things can be turned off, not sure if all of them , but roles and chemistry IIRC can be.
