I'm telling you Dallas, Contract Extensions if you are under the cap. That must be included.

I spent last night combining the two proposals (NJ/OKC/MEM vs. DAL/LAL/PHO) and this is what I came up with. I'm not going to change it, you can complain all you want but I won't. Its fair for both sides and we will never all completely agree so just accept a compromise. Here are the new parameters of free agency:
-Soft Cap=$65 million
-Hard Cap=$80 million
-Hard cap is always $15 million more than the soft cap
-Bird rights are established after one full year (82 games). Bird rights CANNOT be traded and the warm-up season DOES NOT count as a full season.
-No contract extensions. If you are under the cap, you may offer a one year extension to a player IF they meet these requirements: -Has been on your team for a full year -Is in the final year of his contract -Team satisfies player's desires (see FA values below)
-Teams can go over the soft cap to re-sign a player, but they cannot exceed the hard cap. You must have bird rights to do this.
-Free Agent Values (what free agents use as criteria when considering contract offers): -Money (50%) -Includes the dollar value of the contract, the number of years in the contract, and team and player options. -Playing time (30%) -Combination of playing time (starter/reserve status) and talent of team (contenders or not) -Other/Personal Circumstances (20%) -Things like hometown team, playing for a coach they previously played for, signing with a contender due to age, etc.
-The free agent values will also be used at the end of the season when players are considering accepting or declining player options.
These are the rules. Feel free to comment on them, but realize I am in no mood for constant bickering and arguing in this league.

I think we should be able to trade bird rights, I've always liked that about the NHL. That if a player is going to be a Free Agent, you can deal their rights and get something for the rights to negoiate with them.

reading comprehension is important buddy. so please explain to me... so the cap wont increase after the warm up season ? pretty much. and IF IT does the Hard Cap only moved up by 2.5 mil AS it must stay above 15 mil at all times.

I think there's one more criteria you should add and that's team loyalty. I think a huge factor for a lot of players is playing for the same team as long as they can match contract.
So under these new rules, I won't any use for lamar odom cuz I won't be able to resign him.
